About the role
FactSet's Metals & Mining Deep Sector Strategy is built around delivering critical data and analysis of fundamental information to its client base of mining specialists and analysts in investment banks, investment funds, wealth management, and mining corporates including both producers and exploration & development companies. We achieve this through the development of thoughtful products and analysis born out of a desire to flow and analyze what matters to our mining-specific clients now and in the future. We are undertaking an acceleration of our investment in the Metals & Mining sector and are aiming to have increased and expanded coverage of key mining sub-sectors and focus metals.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a variety of internal and external professionals to coordinate Metals & Mining data collection, research, and analytics across FactSet, ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy and roadmap.
- Conduct research and analysis and build quantitative models that demonstrate the value of FactSet's Metals & Mining content.
- Responsible for Metals & Mining related thought leadership both internally and client-facing.
- Collaborate closely with other product heads and thought leadership functions to build cross-sector content with value to both sector-specific and generalist workflows.
- Engage directly with clients, especially high-value clients, to share research and hear feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree, mining engineering or geology degree preferred
- Mining/Resource background
- 5 + years of experience in the Metals & Mining industry and capital markets
- Experience in product and content development and management
- Strong quantitative aptitude and qualitative reasoning and understanding of economic and financial statement analysis
- Strong understanding of client workflows and FactSet client types
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and project management skills
- Exceptional collaboration, organizational & communication skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to see the big picture
- Strong organizational skills combined with a sense of urgency in delivering on products
- Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal direction and supervision
