ABOUT THIS JOB Position Specific Summary The Community Services Project Supervisor position at the City of Tucson's Housing and Community Development Department is responsible for planning, organizing, allocating resources and controlling the work of housing programs and activities. This position monitors programs, including budgetary oversight and control, grant management and compliance, personnel supervision, and program planning and outcome evaluation. Work is performed under the supervision of the Program Manager. This position exercises supervision over housing personnel. Duties and Responsibilities Supervises service staff in housing and supportive services, provides training, and ensures team collaboration. Ensures residents receive necessary supportive services, including case management, mental health services, and substance use treatment. Engages with the community to establish strong partnerships with local social service agencies, government bodies, and community organizations, and advocates for supportive housing, educating stakeholders about the program's impact. Audits and reviews the Homeless Management database to ensure data accuracy, the program budget, secures funding, and manages resources to maintain financial stability and efficiency. Tracks payments to vendors, landlords, and utilities in Workday. Implements robust monitoring and evaluation processes to continually assess and improve the effectiveness of programs and services. Conducts regular data collection, feedback, and performance analysis to ensure supportive housing needs are being met and program goals are achieved. Ensures grant budgets align with compliance and timeliness. Tracks grant funds, ensures expenditures are eligible and align with grant requirements, and reports financial status to grant providers. Prepares comprehensive reports for funders, stakeholders, and governing bodies to maintain accountability and foster trust and support. Detail outcomes and impacts to provide transparency and demonstrate the value and effectiveness of the supportive housing programs. Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned. Working Conditions Mostly office environment. Indoor and outdoor work with some exposure to physical, ergonomic, or emotional hazardous environments.
