About the role
The Business Operations Analyst serves as a key member of the assigned organization's operations team and provides direct support to Program Directors, Program Managers, and other senior staff. They contribute to multiple programs across the assigned organization, focusing on program and project analysis, business operations analysis, financial resource analysis and management, acquisition analysis, human capital analysis, and/or communication and outreach To qualify at the GS-11 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the federal service performing a variety of complex analyses of programs, projects, resources, and/or operations. OR possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR possess 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR possess a combination of post-high school education and experience that together meet the qualification requirements for this position. Examples may include: performing complex qualitative and quantitative analyses including some combination of programs, projects, business operations, financial resources, acquisitions, human capital activities, and/or communication and outreach. To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the federal service performing, leading, and overseeing complex analyses of programs, projects, resources, and operations. Examples may include: performing, leading, and overseeing qualitative and quantitative analysis activities including some combination of programs, projects, business operations, financial resources, acquisitions, human capital activities, and/or communication and outreach. Experience refers to paid/unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training/experience that translates directly to paid work.
