About the role

The Growth Marketing (GM) organization is responsible for enabling all things related to sustainable and efficient marketing traffic, conversion, retention, and growth at Coupang. We are one of the largest performance advertisers in the World and have invested in a full funnel marketing tech stack powered through 9+ platforms across areas. Growth Product is the product management arm of Growth Marketing and is supported by the dedicated Growth Engineering, Data Science and Analytics team within the larger GM org. Role Overview Coupang relies on highly engaging offerings and innovative ad products to drive customers across the intent funnel. In this individual contributor role, you will lead the product strategy for our Video Marketing ecosystem and pioneer New Programmatic Products that can scale efficiently within Coupang Partners (our affiliate network). You will own the optimization of video creatives, audience targeting, and programmatic bidding strategies from end-to-end. This role requires a strong technical foundation, including a deep understanding of Programmatic Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs) and a hands-on approach to leveraging Machine Learning and Generative AI to automate bidding, enhance creative generation, and elevate our overall affiliate marketing capabilities. The right candidate will possess a strong product management background, demonstrated experience taking new ad products from zero to one, and a well-rounded background partnering with business, engineering, and data science teams. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. As a high-impact individual contributor, you are highly autonomous and lead by influence rather than authority. This means you are hands-on and not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in, and get the job done as a solo powerhouse.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, Management, Marketing, Information Services, or related quantitative fields.
  • Experience: 7+ years of product management or program management experience in the Ad Tech industry, with 3+ years of experience in end-to-end product delivery focused on Video Advertising or Programmatic ecosystems.
  • IC Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to operate as a high-impact individual contributor, driving product vision and leading cross-functional teams (Engineering, Data Science, Business) through influence, alignment, and expertise rather than direct reporting lines.
  • Programmatic & DSP Expertise: Deep understanding of how Programmatic DSPs work, including Real-Time Bidding (RTB), exchanges, video ad serving (CTV, in-stream, out-stream), and cross-device targeting.
  • Innovation & Scaling: Proven track record of conceptualizing and launching New Products , with a strategic capability to identify and scale these offerings within affiliate networks or partner ecosystems like Coupang Partners .
  • ML & Gen AI Fluency: Hands-on awareness and practical understanding of Machine Learning and Generative AI, specifically how these technologies can be leveraged for creative asset generation, bid optimization, and campaign automation.
  • Technical Collaboration: Ability to work deeply with engineers and data scientists on technical design tradeoffs, including platforms, ML frameworks, scalability, and performance.
  • Communication: Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills to drive recommendations, articulate tradeoffs, and champion product initiatives to senior executives across a highly matrixed organization.
