About the role

Join our team on Eyrewell Dairy and play a key role in rearing our next generation dairy cattle. You'll be responsible for caring for young calves - feeding, weighing, drafting, drenching, and monitoring their health and welfare. You may also assist with milking and general farm duties. Flexibility is essential, as hours can vary depending on seasonal demands. This is a drive in/drive out role, so reliable transport is required. The fixed term runs from the start of August to end of October , with a minimum of twenty hours a week guaranteed, can be additional hours in busy weeks. THE FARM Located in West Eyreton, 10 minutes from Oxford and 25 minutes from Rangiora. This is a 400 effective ha farm and milks 950 cows through a 60-bale rotary, rearing heifer replacement calves. The location offers easy access to a range of recreational activities. ABOUT YOU If you're someone who takes pride in doing the job right and has a real care for animals, loves working outdoors, then we want to hear from you. You have an exceptional attitude to health and safety and animal welfare You are physically fit and comfortable working outdoors You hold a restricted or full driver's license Ideally you will have some calf-rearing experience
