About the role
This position is assigned to the Recreation Division; Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Naval Base Point Loma (NBPL). This position is responsible for the control and accomplishment of management functions associated with the administration, management, operation, and utilization of Marina facilities and assets. Knowledge of military MWR and/or NAF procurement, personnel, and funding. Knowledge of NAF budgeting and activity level financial management. Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures. Knowledge of CNIC's EEO policy and procedures. Ability to work effectively with subordinates, supervisory and management officials and patrons. Ability to operate a personal computer and perform basic word processing and spreadsheet tasks using Microsoft and site-specific software. Ability and knowledge to provide a sailing instruction program. Ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations and/or training. Ability to perform the full-range of supervisory duties. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
