About the role
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and standardization of financial reporting and closing processes. Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with the finance team to identify and implement more efficient methods for completing key closing tasks, with the goal of reducing closing days.
- ●Reconciliation Development: Design and implement new reconciliation working papers, ensuring alignment with team expectations and accounting standards.
- ●Review & Quality Control: Act as a reviewer for complex tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls. Note: The company is preparing for future US-SOX adoption.
- ●Accruals & Estimates: Develop new accruals and estimates as needed to support the closing process, and perform monthly follow-ups to validate accuracy.
- ●Variance Analysis: Perform detailed variance and flux analysis on all accounts and subsidiaries, following the Company's standards for financial reporting and performance monitoring.
- ●Integration Projects: Actively participate in integration projects, ensuring alignment of processes and data consistency across systems.
Requirements
- ●Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ●At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial analysis. A combination of Big Four and industry experience is highly desirable.
- ●Strong knowledge of financial reporting principles
- ●Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis and reconciliation tools.
- ●Fluent in English is required, with the ability to conduct meetings with international colleagues.
- ●Experience in process improvement or automation, or system integrations (ERP implementations, transformation projects) will be highly valued.
