Property Coverage Attorney

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and claim material, draft coverage opinions, and provide recommendations for clients;
• Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients;
• Analyze documents for litigation;
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw;
• Prepare and respond to written discovery;
• Draft pleadings and briefs;
• Conduct and defend depositions; and
• Attend and advocate at hearings and mediations.
• Education and Experience Required
• Admitted to practice law; California bar admission strongly preferred.
• Insurance coverage experience.
• Excellent academic credentials and/or solid work history.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature.
• Ability to handle time sensitive matters.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.

• The salary range for this position is dependent on the level at which the candidate is hired:
• Associate: $160,000 - $190,000
• Senior Associate: $185,000 - $225,000
• Senior Counsel: $220,000 - $260,000
