Role Summary We are looking for a highly capable and driven Manager, Headgear Engineering to join our expanding Engineering team in the Senai, Johor. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in a major manufacturing expansion , with new plants coming online and increasing operational complexity. You will lead engineering capability across sites, drive transformation initiatives, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, high-quality manufacturing processes. Why Join Us? Be part of a high-growth expansion journey with multiple new plants Lead end-to-end engineering transformation across sites Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and automation initiatives at scale Work with regional and global stakeholders across engineering and product teams Build and shape high-performing teams and culture Let's Talk about the Role & Responsibilities Manufacturing & Process Excellence Lead implementation and optimization of manufacturing processes, equipment, and documentation Drive yield improvement, scrap reduction, and cycle time optimisation Conduct bottleneck analysis (OEE, takt time, line balancing, capacity planning) Deliver continuous improvement (CIP) and cost-saving initiatives Site Leadership & Governance Establish strong operational cadence (daily/weekly/monthly reviews, tier meetings) Manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) with clear ownership Make sound decisions balancing safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people Support governance across multiple plants within the Ipark Campus. Engineering, Validation & Compliance Lead equipment qualification and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) Ensure compliance with QMS standards (CAPA, deviations, change control) Drive audit readiness and regulatory compliance Support introduction of new equipment and technologies People & Culture Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement Develop team capability through coaching and structured training Lead diverse engineering teams and strengthen cross-functional collaboration Digital, Data & Automation Promote use of MES/ERP systems for traceability and reporting Leverage data (Excel, Power BI, KPIs) for performance improvements Champion automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives Safety Partner closely with HSE to ensure full compliance with OH&S standards Drive closure of existing safety gaps and enhance safe work practices Key Metrics/ Focus Areas Deliver site transformation projects focused on Lean material and process flow Improve OEE (quality, availability, performance) across operations Establish optimal cycle times across products and processes Lead equipment qualification and ramp-up for new facilities Deliver measurable efficiency and cost improvements Let's Talk About Qualifications & Experience Required Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline 8+ years' experience in manufacturing engineering (high-volume environments) Strong expertise in process improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams Hands-on experience with automation and manufacturing systems Preferred Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Experience in medical device, FMCG, or food manufacturing (GMP environment) MBA or advanced qualification (advantageous but not essential) Technical Expertise: Six Sigma tools: DMAIC, DOE, MSA Process validation & equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) QMS systems: CAPA, deviations, change control Data-driven decision-making and KPI management CAPEX/OPEX planning and resource management
