Voice Designer / Designer Vocal

Responsibilities

• Design and create original synthetic voices using recorded voice datasets and AI-driven voice generation and replication tools;
• Build, organize, and maintain a scalable database of recorded and generated voice assets;
• Collaborate closely with the Audio Director to define voice design strategies, pipelines, and creative choices;
• Work cross-functionally with narrative, design, and technical teams to ensure voice outputs align with character, tone, and world-building goals;
• Contribute to the development of workflows and best practices for AI voice creation, iteration, and deployment;
• Evaluate and iterate on voice outputs for quality, clarity, emotional resonance, and technical performance;
• Document processes, datasets, and voice creation methodologies to ensure consistency and repeatability;
• Stay current with advancements in AI voice synthesis, voice cloning, and generative technologies;
• Support scalability efforts for multi-language and multi-cultural voice expansion initiatives.

• NBCUniversal recherche un-e Voice Designer pour contribuer à façonner la création et l'évolution d'expériences vocales de nouvelle génération dans le cadre d'un projet de divertissement ambitieux.
• Responsabilités :
• Concevoir et créer des voix synthétiques originales à partir de jeux de données vocaux enregistrés et à l'aide d'outils de génération et de réplication vocale pilotés par l'IA ;
• Construire, organiser et maintenir une base de données évolutive d'actifs vocaux enregistrés et générés ;
• Collaborer étroitement avec le directeur audio pour définir les stratégies de conception vocale, les pipelines et les choix créatifs ;
• Travailler en collaboration avec les équipes narrative, design et technique afin de garantir que les rendus vocaux correspondent aux objectifs de personnage, de ton et de construction d'univers ;
• Contribuer au développement de flux de travail et de bonnes pratiques pour la création, l'itération et le déploiement de voix IA ;
• Évaluer et itérer les productions vocales en termes de qualité, de clarté, de résonance émotionnelle et de performance technique ;
• Documenter les processus, les jeux de données et les méthodes de création vocale afin d'assurer cohérence et reproductibilité ;
• Se tenir informé-e des avancées en synthèse vocale par IA, clonage vocal et technologies génératives ;
• Soutenir les initiatives de montée en charge pour l'expansion de voix multilingues et multiculturelles.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience of double or triple-A game development in a dialogue related field of expertise.
• Bachelor's degree or certification from a recognized university or college (audio, linguistics, game dev, or related field preferred);
• Familiarity with AI voice tools, voice cloning technologies, and synthetic speech systems;
• Ability to create, manipulate, and refine voice recordings and datasets;
• Strong understanding of audio fundamentals including voice recording, editing, and processing;
• Experience with technical implementation of dialogue in a game;
• Comfortable working with large asset banks and managing structured content libraries;
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in asset tracking and documentation;
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment;
• Experience with commonly used development tools such as Perforce;
• Knowledge of common planning, task and problem-tracking tools Jira and Confluence;
• Strong team communication skills.
