You will handle a diverse workload across various surgical specialties, with opportunities for subspecialising. What will your responsibilities be? As an Anaesthetics General Registrar, you are responsible for delivering safe and effective anaesthetic care across a wide range of surgical specialties. You assess patients pre-operatively, develop and implement anaesthetic plans, and administer general, regional, or local anaesthesia under the supervision of a consultant. You monitor patients intraoperatively, manage post-operative recovery and pain, and respond to emergencies. You also contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions, supervise junior staff, participate in teaching and audits, and stay current with best practices in anaesthesia.
