About the role

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGER in the Comptroller Department (Code 600) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience implementing and directing large scale financial management programs; Experience performing analysis and providing operational direction within the structure of a complex mission and a thorough working knowledge of Mission Funding policies and practices, a general knowledge of the Working Capital Fund, and a thorough knowledge of the composite funding of activities involved with reimbursable work; Experience providing advice, assistance, and technical guidance to a commander and other departmental management officials on financial management policies and programs; Experience applying a high level of sound, independent judgment in solving financial problems, with incomplete information; Experience communicating ideas clearly, both orally and in writing; Experience in understanding production, supply, finance, and personnel management systems.
