Job Description Job Title : Public Area Attendant Department: Housekeeping Supervision Exercised: N/A Supervision Received: Operations Manager, Housekeeping Supervisor Job Summary: The Public Area Attendant will service and maintain the cleanliness of all public areas including public and associate restrooms, associate cafeteria, lobby areas, banquet spaces and hotel offices in accordance with brand standards. Job Duties include the following: Operations: Clean and maintain lobby, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and public areas. Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish surfaces as required. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners. Maintain cleanliness and restocking of public restrooms. Ensure all furniture, décor, and fixtures in public areas are clean and tidy. Monitor lobby appearance throughout the shift and address issues promptly. Respond to guest requests and provide assistance courteously. Perform special projects as assigned by management. Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management. Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Job Knowledge: Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Good communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is preferred. Minimum Requirements: Previous cleaning, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred. Hospitality environment experience a plus.
