About the role
Job Description Report to the Singapore Service Team Manager and work closely with the local service team and regional support teams. Be stationed on-site at customer premises and work independently with minimal supervision. Perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) and ensure timely execution of Corrective Maintenance (CM). Support a 24/7/365 service operation, requiring flexibility and availability in working hours when necessary. Ensure machine performance meets or exceeds customers' contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Comply with all company and customer health and safety regulations while performing engineering duties. Provide recommendations to the service management team to improve service quality, system reliability, and overall performance. Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. Apply strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, following technical manuals and documentation accurately. Communicate clearly during shift changes or call handovers, ensuring all relevant background information is properly transferred and documented. Prepare and submit service reports and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain effective stock inventory control, including parts usage, requests, transfers, refurbishments, and stock documentation updates. Ensure designated work areas at customer sites are kept tidy, safe, and compliant with clear desk and safety policies. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and maintain a professional approach when engaging with customers. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring compliance with all legal and health and safety requirements. Travel to customer sites to provide service support and coverage as required under contractual obligations or agreed role scope. Job Requirements Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent qualification. Formal qualification in Electronics is essential, with knowledge of PC systems and basic programming skills. Completion of supplemental software training courses is an advantage. Proven experience working in a customer-facing environment with demanding Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Windows, basic networking, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
