Specialized experience is experience in 1) Evaluating work performance of subordinates; giving advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters; interviewing candidates for positions; recommending appointment, promotion, or reassignment. 2) Researching and determining or recommending appropriate actions or interpretation of issues that impact organization, installation, command, or agency. 3) Establishing review systems for the organization that make certain government needs are met and validated, and that economy and quality of operations are maintained or improved. 4) Developing goals and objectives that integrate organization objectives. 5) Meeting with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolving significant problems that arise. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this senior leadership position is a strategic and results-driven professional dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our installation's diverse community. This individual will exercise second-level supervisory and managerial authority over the Services Branch, guiding all activities related to program development, community service, and business operations. Specifically, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in the following core areas: Advanced Leadership and Staff Development: Proven ability to plan, organize, and direct a multifaceted organization while mentoring, motivating, and appraising staff through subordinate supervisors. Comprehensive Business and Financial Acumen: In-depth knowledge of Services' business operations (recreation, fitness, food service, hospitality, etc.) and the ability to apply sound business practices, accounting principles, and financial planning for both appropriated (APF) and non-appropriated (NAF) funds. Strategic and Analytical Operations Management: A strong aptitude for analyzing program requirements, planning workflows, and adjusting operations across multiple segments to meet strategic objectives within available resources. Technical Proficiency and Innovative Problem-Solving: Possesses the technical knowledge of facility management, safety standards, and contracting procedures necessary to develop innovative solutions and overcome resource limitations in a dynamic environment. Technical knowledge of good business practices, accounting principles, budget preparation, financial planning and personnel manning for funding and recruitment. To include technical knowledge of appropriated (APF), non-appropriated (NAF), and Command Lodging Fund (CLF) budget systems and financial matters relating to funding instrumentalities. 2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors. 4. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. 5. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. 6. Technical knowledge of business, hospitality activities, safety, fire, health, facility (size and composition) standards, and Air Force and DoD procedures for facility construction/repair, project implementation.
