The Job: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hardware Assembly & Fabrication Specialist to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you'll be responsible for assembling, wiring, and fabricating hardware components used in our autonomous aerial suppression systems. You'll work closely with engineers and technicians to bring prototypes and production systems to life, ensuring quality, reliability, and precision in every build. This role directly supports the development and deployment of critical hardware for wildfire response. What You Bring: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field 3-5+ years of experience in mechanical or electronic assembly, fabrication, or prototyping Strong hands-on skills working with mechanical components, wiring, soldering, and assembly tools Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions Experience with shop equipment (e.g., drill press, bandsaw, Dremel, etc.) and fabrication tools Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and technicians Preferred (but not required): Experience working on UAVs, aerospace systems, or robotics hardware Familiarity with ESD safety practices, cable management, or aerospace-grade wiring techniques Comfort working in a fast-paced R&D or startup environment
