Responsibilities

  • Manage, organize, assign, and distribute workload among staff to ensure the department operates in a manner that is safe, efficient and responsive to volumes and outcomes

  • Completion of a recognized Medical Imaging entry to practice program (i.e., Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Magnetic Resonance, Sonography)
  • Completion of CAMRT certification exam
  • Completion of, or currently working towards, a Master's degree in a relevant program
  • Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) program for health care providers
  • Registration with CMRITO
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working as certified Technologist in a medical imaging environment
  • Understanding of technical procedures, operations, and clinical applications, preferred
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and motivational skills, with a passion for leading teams
  • Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to form/defend independent judgment and to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance with UHN standards

As a valued member of the UHN Medical Imaging team, the Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Computed Tomography (CT) program. The role provides leadership and direction to the interdisciplinary clinical team and collaborates with internal and external partners to maintain patient access and quality. The individual will oversee a team of professionals to optimize aspects of modality operations, ensuring an effective and efficient delivery of patient care.
