This role drives analytical excellence and strategic innovation across our healthcare partnerships in Johannesburg. You will drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge analytical strategies, helping clients leverage AI to drive business value. How will you make an impact? Analytics leadership: Own analytical delivery for healthcare clients, ensuring consistent high-quality solutions that address complex data challenges and drive tangible business outcomes Team development: Manage and mentor a technical team of analysts, developing their technical capabilities and fostering professional growth through coaching and knowledge sharing Stakeholder engagement: Maintain strong relationships across all levels of client organisations, from subject matter experts to C-suite executives, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business objectives Strategic communication: Translate technical concepts and analytical insights into accessible recommendations for non-technical audiences through compelling presentations and communications Technical excellence: Leverage advanced SQL, cloud platforms and data visualisation tools to deliver complex data processing and dashboard creation for healthcare sector requirements AI innovation: Apply understanding of generative AI applications to enhance analytical productivity and deliverable quality, staying current with emerging technologies Culture building: Contribute to maintaining Quantium's culture and collaborative environment within the Johannesburg office through visible leadership and team engagement The superpowers you'll be bringing to the team: Technical proficiency: 7-10+ years' experience in advanced analytics / data science, with 1-2+ years in a leadership or mentoring capacity Advanced technical skills: Strong Python / SQL proficiency for complex data querying and manipulation across large datasets Cloud expertise: Experience with large-scale data processing and familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, Databricks) Academic background: Degree in a relevant field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics or related discipline Stakeholder management: Excellent stakeholder management skills across various organisational levels Communication excellence: Strong presentation and communication abilities, with experience translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences Consultative approach: Experience building trusted relationships with stakeholders and gaining in-depth understanding of their objectives to develop relevant solutions that solve complex problems AI understanding: Understanding of generative AI applications in analytics and consulting contexts Healthcare interest: Healthcare sector experience or strong familiarity with healthcare data challenges and regulatory requirements is highly desirable Remember - you might not tick all the boxes, but don't let that stop you from applying.
