Workplace Operations & Project Lead, Guernsey - 18 month FTC Reporting to Senior Manager, Workplace Operations We are looking for an experienced and proactive Workplace Operations & Project Lead to oversee Workplace Operations in Guernsey , lead the local team, and deliver a safe, seamless, high-quality office experience that supports our people and the business. Responsibilities
- Lead the Workplace team across the Channel Islands, supporting team development and wellbeing, driving high standards, strong service delivery, and cost-conscious operations.
- Support the Guernsey office through refurbishment, ensuring service continuity and a safe environment for employees.
- Manage the local Workplace budget, forecasting accurately and controlling spend to maximise value.
- Build trusted relationships with local leadership and key stakeholders, aligning workplace support to business priorities.
- Create a positive, welcoming workplace and continuously improve the employee experience.
- Partner with the Workplace Program Manager to develop initiatives that enhance the workplace experience.
- Work across the business to position Workplace as a trusted partner in delivering key objectives.
- Oversee local workplace communications, ensuring they are clear, relevant, and timely.
- Lead local Health and Safety, ensuring compliance and helping build a proactive safety culture.
- Build strong relationships across departments and provide responsive support on workplace matters.
- Manage workplace contracts and vendor relationships, ensuring strong procurement practices and regular review.
- Identify and implement cost-effective improvements while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Provide local support for business continuity and respond effectively to incidents affecting people and workplace operations.
- Review and adapt workplace processes to meet changing business needs and priorities.
- Oversee external workplace vendors and support day-to-day service performance.
- Source and manage vendor relationships across the department.
- Manage the relationship with the building landlord, resolving issues and maintaining effective communication.
- Oversee local construction, renovation, and repair projects, ensuring delivery to plan and budget.
- Oversee building services and maintenance, ensuring planned works are delivered and issues are resolved safely and effectively.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, cost control, and risk management.
- Continuously review ways of working to ensure the team is meeting business needs and departmental goals.
- Ensure consistent Workplace team coverage across the department.
