About the role
This position is responsible for overseeing the Korea Legal Entity as a General Manager, including P&L and Balance Sheet, local policies, functional support, and commercial processes common to the business units. In addition, the General Manager will lead our Lab Business Unit. In this role he/she will build and drive a customer centric organization to grow sales and profitability. He/she has accountability and authority for all direct and distributor sales activities and to develop new business opportunities in accordance with global strategic business unit strategy. MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance) Lab BU Lead duties Deliver on financial targets including sales revenue, margin, etc. by creating a planning, tracking and execution mechanisms. Develop growth strategies for Korea through managing the teams of lab sales, key account management, equipment services, commercial excellence and customer services. Create an enabling channel structure both in the commercial as well as the support the organization to help deliver the strategy. Attract, hire, develop and retain the best possible talent ensuring that there is an outstanding group of employees. Build a strong leadership bench strength in this strategic market. Create and drive channel manager to penetrate and engage both global and regional key accounts deployed in Korea. Leverage extensive portfolio to penetrate key accounts and deliver end to end workflow support for customers. Develop, train, manage and motivate our distribution channel on the combined portfolio. Do other tasks assigned by the company QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications) University graduate in Chemical/Bioscience / Instrumentation / Engineering. Demonstrated strong Sales and Marketing experience in the field of laboratory products - chemicals , equipment, instruments, supplies, consumables, clean room, apparel, etc with 10-15 years of experience in the following relevant areas. Min 10 years related export/import sales coupled with management experiences Experience in regional sales management of laboratory supplies & services. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently) Strong people and process management with a proven track record of growing sales, achieving targets, and developing leaders Solution selling, negotiations skills, managing major accounts Excellent communication skills.
