QA / Test Automation Engineer

About the role

Our client is a well-established organization with a strong presence in the transport and infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities

• We're looking for a QA / Test Automation Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of complex systems. This role will drive testing strategy, automation, and defect management across the full development lifecycle.
• Plan and execute end-to-end testing across system components;
• Analyse requirements and design comprehensive test strategies and test cases;
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts;
• Prepare and manage test environments and test data;
• Execute functional, integration, and performance testing;
• Track, manage, and resolve defects through to closure;
• Perform root cause analysis and improve test coverage and processes;
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality delivery;
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline;
• Experience in software testing and/or test automation;
• Familiarity with scripting or programming for automation;
• Understanding of SDLC and testing lifecycle;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
