About the role

Location: Telok Ayer Working Hours: 8.45am to 5.45pm (Mon to Fri) Salary: Up to $5500 Job Responsibilities: Handle Own Damage Claims, Windscreen Claims, Third Party Property Claims, Third Party Injury Claims, excess recoveries and non BOLA recoveries. Liaise with policyholders, intermediaries, investigators, surveyors, adjusters, lawyers, third party claimants and workshops. Guide assistants in their support roles. Manage and process claims expeditiously, professionally and equitably, within agreed service standards, benchmarks or applicable protocols, subject to Management's approval for claim settlements or offers relating to fatal or serious bodily injury claims. Approve payments within the limit of authority and ensure accuracy of payment details. Attend solicitors' offices, court hearings, meetings and seminars when required. Communicate with panel solicitors and third party solicitors for cases where Originating Claims have been issued; refer matters to solicitors to enter appearance if unable to settle, and seek advice on liability and quantum. Ensure excess recovery claims are actively pursued and followed up on a regular basis. Add value to underwriters by advising on issues identified during claims handling, such as breaches of policy terms and conditions, claims experience, NCD matters, etc. Conduct periodic file reviews to revise reserves and update claims status as required.
