The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing distribution activities for assigned facilities. You will manage supply chain budgets, direct plant receiving and transportation operations, and review master production plans. You will collaborate with supply chain teams to align business objectives, develop functional capabilities, and manage change processes. Additionally, you will support continuous improvement initiatives, promote FSQA programs, and develop supply chain teams to ensure operational excellence. A Day in the Life... - Responsible for all aspects of receiving, operations planning and distribution/ transportation for assigned facilities. - Review the master production plans and capacity to reduce costs and balance productivity and inventory levels - Create, justify, and maintain accountability for the supply chain operating budgets. - Capable of managing change when business conditions dictate, while driving improvement into plant activities with every touch point. - Embrace and build the necessary capability to flex the team, resources, materials, etc. - Support local Third-Party Logistics (3PLs) to ensure adherence to budget, business processes, procedures and practices. - Work with key leaders/function in the corporate office to align on short and long range production plans, execute short lead requests, while maintaining a firm balance of plant capability vs requested deliverables. - Ensure effective team development of the supply chain function through setting and monitoring annual performance plans, coaching, and career development: ensuring the proper tools are in place to support the team and the process. - Serve as a key member of the supply chain network across the system in developing functional capability. - Support, drive and promote food safety and quality program.
