Fall 2026 Teaching Assistants: Chemical Engineering

Requirements

• For all courses :
• ha ving been a TA for the course previously, is a plus.
• chemical engineering degree
• Elements of Biotechnology (CHEE370):
• Must have excellent knowledge of biotechnology and/or microbiology and/or molecular biology.
• Knowledge of enzyme kinetics
• Experience with microbiology laboratory techniques
• Must have completed CHEE 370 or its equivalent
• Computational Methods in Chemical Engineering (CHEE390):
• Excellent knowledge of MATLAB
• CHEE400:
• Having taken CHEE400 or equivalent courses in Energy Science , Renewable Energy , and Sustainability.
• Working knowledge of energy engineering and fundamental energy science including:
• Energy resources; resource characterization, science and technology of energy conversion, efficiency ; energy systems' metrics and optimization; material systems in energy conversion
• CHEE455
• Has take CHEE455 or equivalent
• Basic Matlab and Simulink programming skills
• CHEE541:
• previously taken CHEE 541 or CHEE 310 or an electrochemistry course in some other program
• Laboratory Safety 1 & 2 (CHEE681/682):
• WHMIS certification. Biosafety, waste management, myLab and BSC certifications are additional desired credentials.
