Financial Services Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend applications using Java under supervision.
• Be open to learning and working with different, new technologies and occasionally interacting with legacy systems.
• Gain hands-on practice in writing basic unit tests to promote engineering best practices.
• Participate in cross-functional team dynamics and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Study and understand the business rules of the financial market and specialized platforms (such as Calypso).
• What You Bring
• Currently pursuing a Technologist degree (from the 2nd semester onwards) OR a Bachelor's degree (from the 4th semester onwards) in IT-related fields.
• Demonstrated self-learning initiatives (online courses like Udemy, personal projects, GitHub repositories, or academic tutoring).
• Strong interest in learning Java and understanding the financial services market.
• Basic conceptual knowledge of Java.
• Familiarity with foundational software engineering principles (such as Clean Code or SOLID) is a plus.
• Active mindset to take initiative regarding your own learning path.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing scopes.
• Clear skills to collaborate within team environments.
• English level
• Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
