HSE Advisor

Requirements

• Education: college diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, NSCO, CRST, CRSP, or similar
• 4-8 years experience on large industrial construction projects
• Ability to interpret and apply Provincial Health & Safety legislation and standards
• Effective computer software skills (MS Office Suite)
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with others
• Pragmatic "Can Do" attitude, with a knack for problem solving and drive for success
• Proven leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills, in dealing with a wide range of individuals and issues
• Valid WHMIS, First Aid (Valid Standard First Aid C or higher), and other Health and Safety training certificates are an asset (i.e. incident investigation, confined space entry, any train-the-trainer certifications)
• Valid driving license and reliable transportation

NAC is currently seeking an Intermediate HSE Advisor to join our Lakeshore Waste Water Treatment plant project in Innisfil, ON. Position Summary: Reporting to the HSE Director, the HSE Advisor guides, supports and oversees the Project's HSE management and performance. Working with project management to achieve HSE objectives and ensure a safe working environment. Eliminating and/or reducing HSE risks as well as capitalizing on HSE improvement opportunities.
