About the role
You will own end‑to‑end Final Assembly industrialization outcome for assigned NPI projects, from design transfer through production readiness and ramp‑up and act as the manufacturing industrialization anchor, ensuring cross‑functional alignment across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Test, and PMO. You will also drive early identification, escalation, and mitigation of manufacturability, cost, capacity, and readiness risks. This role delivers a robust, cost‑effective, and execution‑ready Final Assembly manufacturing solution for local NPI programmes. Adhere to Rockwell NPI Product lifecycle process - CPD (Common Product Development) process.Oversee Final Assembly product cost estimation, assumptions, and risk transparency through CPD milestones. Lead Industrialization readouts at CPD milestones, clearly communicating readiness status, risks, and required decisions. You will be reporting to Industrialization Team Lead and will be based in Singapore working 5 days/week from office.
Responsibilities
- Works with Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure optimum product and process design for manufacturability for a New Product Introduction.
- Collaborates with development engineering to leverage Df(x) to obtain product cost and best outcome of design for assembly.
- Develop manufacturing specifications and validate against Digital twins, implement manufacturing layout and processes and associated documentation, estimates manufacturing cost, and coordinates execution of prototype and pilot activities.
- Works on issues of diverse scopes where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, including an understanding of current trends in the business and operations.
- Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Act in a technical development leadership role and lead small special project team within their Industrialization groups.
- Actively participate in the new product design evaluation process.
- The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial/ Mechanical/ Electrical, or equivalent degree or education.
- Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in Finaly Assembly
- In depth knowledge in Manufacturing BOM creation and routing time calculations.
- Experience in Manufacturing line balancing, PFMEA and Value stream mapping.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of New Product Introduction process.
- Experience in Automation/Digitalization, defining requirements, identify CTQ, handling of robotics/machine learning, etc.
- Comprehensive knowledge of proven Manufacturing process and how to apply Design for Cost / Assembly / Automation.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
- Proficient in using tools such as Jira, Jama, and Confluence to manage requirements, track project progress, and maintain documentation.
- Exhibit good organizational and interpersonal skills, lead cross functional teams in matrix organizations
- Good written and verbal communications in English.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge on Electronic Assembly, computing/programming is a plus.
- Experience in Productivity / cost saving activities.
- The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- PMP or similar certifications/experience.
- Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning system- SAP.
- Experience with Project Management / Agile / SAFe.
