Utility Service Worker I/II (Stormwater)

Requirements

• Utility Service Worker I:
• STREETS AND STORMWATER DIVISION: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate. Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions. Six (6) months of experience in road construction, building construction, masonry, or related experience desired. Valid State of Florida Driver's License required.
• Utility Service Worker II:
• STORMWATER DIVISION: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and two (2) years of experience in Public Works maintenance and construction repairs of stormwater inlets, curb inlets, and baskets repair; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
• Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
• Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
• Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.

Salary Range $17.72-$22.60 Job Posting End Date - Applications will no longer be accepted starting 07-03-2026 Job Summary Salary: Utility Service Worker I: $17.72 - $22.595 Utility Service Worker II: $18.77 - $23.93 Performs semiskilled work in maintenance of stormwater curb inlets and baskets in the Streets/Stormwater Division. Performs lead and skilled work in the operation of storm inlets and storm baskets; may oversee unskilled employees. Is required to work in adverse weather conditions. Depending on the position, may assist on a vactor truck, cleaning storm lines and storm systems, and assisting on TV inspection truck.
