Position Title: Insurance Specialist Department Name: Personal Lines Location: West Trenton (Ewing Township), NJ General Summary: The primary responsibility of the Insurance Specialist is to accurately underwrite Personal Lines risks while serving as a first line of support to representatives on complex matters. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential functions of this job are listed below in order of priority. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential duties. Regular and predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of the job. Accurately and effectively underwrite all types of Personal Lines business in all states. Provide support to internal customers regarding complex matters and escalated customer inquiries. Support the department through participation in meetings, projects, and initiatives as assigned. Hours: 9:45 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, Saturday 8:30-4:45 p.m. (During the first 4-5 months of training, hours will be Monday through Friday 8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). Required Qualifications: Knowledge, skills & abilities, experience, minimum & desired education, certification and/or license requirements. Bachelor's Degree (or pursuing a degree) in Risk Management and Insurance or 18 months experience as an NJM Licensed Account Representative Excellent verbal and written communication skills High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Sound judgment and decision-making abilities Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Solid analytical and problem-solving skills Effective conflict resolution Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
