General Engineer

About the role

You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAS JRB FT WORTH. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning and monitoring large-scale utility construction, maintenance projects, and renewable energy upgrades; 2) Evaluating facility energy use to identify savings opportunities, auditing, and utilizing energy modeling software; 3) Developing and updating Installation Energy Plans (IEP) to meet energy independence goals, such as those in DoD policy; 4) Implementing strategies for process improvement and equipment efficiency, water to meet resilience goals; 5) Ensuring site operations meet federal energy laws, executive orders, and Navy environmental policies.
