Restaurant and Bar Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Restaurant and Bar Assistant to join our team at Twr y Felin Hotel. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests, from arrival through to the end of their meal. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests upon arrival and escorting them to their tables
• Presenting menus with detailed knowledge of the cuisine and beverage offerings
• Taking accurate orders from guests, noting and accommodating all special requests and dietary requirements
• Serving dishes with precision and timing
• Anticipating guests' needs throughout the meal, offering drinks, additional condiments and assistance as required
• Maintaining a polished appearance and attentive demeanour at all times

Requirements

• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays and key seasonal periods
• A positive and professional approach to guest service
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
• Training and qualifications provided
• Food Safety and Hygiene training course
• Customer Service Skills training course
• WSET Level 1 Wine Training

Additional Information

Salary : £13.70 per hour Location : Twr y Felin Hotel, St Davids, Pembrokeshire, SA62 6QT Working pattern : Full-time casual or two part-time roles depending on the right candidates. Availability required across a seven-day rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and key seasonal periods such as Christmas and Easter.
