Your next career opportunity: In this role, you will lead a specialist team to develop and deliver major, complex funding bids, including ARC Laureate, Centres of Excellence, ITRP, CRC-P and Australia's Economic Accelerator schemes. You will partner closely with senior researchers and leaders to shape strategy, build a strong pipeline of opportunities, and drive continuous improvement in pre-award services and processes. You will gain broad exposure across the University and government, helping translate research excellence into real-world outcomes. What you will deliver: Lead the end-to-end coordination of major funding applications, from early concept shaping through to final submission. Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of competitive bids by scanning opportunities and mobilising research teams. Provide expert strategic funding advice to researchers and senior stakeholders, including on scheme requirements and bid positioning. Drive process, system and service improvements, reporting and change adoption across stakeholder groups. Lead, coach and develop the Major Initiatives team to deliver service excellence and a high-performance culture. You may be a great fit if you: Bring postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience coordinating major grants, business plans or project proposals in research settings. Demonstrate deep understanding of research funding, knowledge and technology transfer, and university-industry collaboration dynamics. Build strong networks and partnerships with academics, industry, government and other external stakeholders to advance major bids. Lead teams confidently, providing clear expectations, coaching, feedback and performance management to lift capability. Manage complex projects and competing priorities, applying strong strategic, analytical and organisational skills to deliver outcomes. Champion change initiatives, planning and communicating process improvements and supporting stakeholders to adopt new ways of working. What we offer you!
