- Recruitment & Talent Management

- Monitor unassigned crew and develop deployment plans to optimise manpower utilisation.
- Coordinate with manning offices to ensure timely crew reliefs and readiness of personnel for vessel assignments.
- Support promotion planning and succession management for officers and crew.
- Conduct manpower forecasting and analyse staffing requirements based on fleet size, vessel additions, and operational needs.
- Prepare monthly reviews of manpower requirements and recruitment projections for management review.
- Assist in planning crew migration and team allocation for fleet expansion and newbuilding projects.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate crew records, documentation, qualifications, certifications, and employment history within the crewing system.
- Ensure compliance with STCW, MLC 2006, company manning standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and support ITF, CBA, and union-related matters where applicable.
- Administer and review Marine HR procedures, ISO requirements, audit findings, and corrective actions.
- Work closely with manning offices to ensure all crew are suitably qualified, experienced, and certified before joining vessels.
- Ensure accuracy of crew data and timely updating of information within the crew management system.
- Training, Performance & Career Development
- Coordinate office briefings and onboarding programmes for new hires, Masters, and Chief Engineers.
- Support training and development programmes for promotion candidates and key shipboard personnel.
- Review crew appraisals, evaluations, and promotion recommendations, identifying exceptions and escalating issues where necessary.
- Monitor completion of performance evaluations and follow up with relevant stakeholders on overdue reports.
- Support career progression and competency development initiatives to strengthen the company's talent pipeline.
- Respond promptly to crew enquiries and provide support on Marine HR matters.
- Assist in training and guiding junior Marine HR team members where required.
- Reporting & Projects
- Conduct monthly manpower analysis, projections, and prepare recruitment and crewing KPI reports.
- Prepare manpower statistics and management reports relating to recruitment, retention, promotions, and fleet manpower planning.
- Support system enhancement initiatives and process improvement projects related to Marine HR operations.
- Assist with newbuilding deliveries, crew mobilisation projects, and other Marine HR initiatives as assigned.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities as directed by Management.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Human Resource Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant Marine HR experience for Executive level, or 4-5 years for Senior Executive level.
