Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned small group employee benefits and individual disability/life clients
  • Manage renewals for groups, including gathering census data, preparing renewal comparisons, and supporting plan design discussions
  • Coordinate with carriers on quotes, underwriting, enrollments, eligibility updates, billing issues, and plan changes

  • Quote, submit tickets, take applications, and support underwriting process for individual disability and term life policies

  • Maintain accurate documentation and client records in agency management systems
  • Partner with producers and internal teams to deliver a seamless client experience
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance service delivery, and support client retention
  • Successful Candidates Will Have:
  • 2+ years of experience in employee benefits within an insurance brokerage or agency environment
  • Experience supporting small group (2-99 lives) clients strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with fully insured benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, and ancillary coverages, as well as individual disability/term life insurance
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits compliance and enrollment processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with Applied Epic a plus
  • Active Life & Health insurance license

*PLEASE NOTE - This is a hybrid position that will require up to 3 days/week in our Richardson, Texas office* The Employee Benefits Account Manager - Small Group Health & Individual Disability/Life is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of small group employee benefits and individual disability/life clients consisting of dentists and dental practices. This role partners closely with producers, carriers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality service, ensure compliance, and support renewals and ongoing client needs.
