COMPANY : Goddard Catering Group (Jamaica) Limited JOB TITLE : Quality Coordinator REPORTS TO : Quality Manager DEPARTMENT : Quality Assurance (Kitchen and Concessions) ISSUE DATE : January 2015 NATURE AND SCOPE OF FUNCTIONS To administer the Company's quality programme in accordance with customer and international requirements, applicable to the airline catering industry, Concessions and Events. POSITIONS DIRECTLY SUPERVISED None QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED A Bachelor of Science Degree with major in Chemistry or a similar field. Advance understanding of HACCP/Food Safety Management principles. A minimum of two (2) years working experience in Quality Assurance/Food Safety Management. SKILLS AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED Well-developed reasoning abilities and leadership skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to function under pressure, a strong sense of loyalty, honesty and integrity. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Major Responsibilities: To ensure that the Food Safety Management system of procedures which conforms to Goddard's Catering Group, international, local and airline standards is implemented and maintained. SATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE WILL HAVE BEEN ATTAINED WHEN: Daily checks on processes and documentation are routinely done and non-conformances documented for follow-up. Non-conformances are brought to the attention of the Executive Chef/Operations Manager/Head Chef/Production Supervisor/Stores Manager for immediate attention. Ensure safe custody of all quality records. Quality system documentation received from Goddard Catering Group is controlled and issued only to relevant personnel, as required. Adherence to policies and procedures outlined in quality/other quality-related manuals are verified and when non-conformance is found, corrective action is taken, as required. Initiate investigations in accordance with the Quality Manager in response to airline customer complaints and submitted to relevant personnel, within stated deadlines. Companywide quality improvement efforts are promoted. Assist the Quality Manager with Food Safety training. Conduct frequent inspections of all food storage facilities and sanitation areas. Unsanitary conditions are immediately brought to the attention of the Operations Manager or his designate. To assist in coordinating all quality auditing activities, including unannounced/announced audits, conducted by Quality Assurance agencies representing airline customers and Regulatory Authorities. SATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE WILL HAVE BEEN ATTAINED WHEN : Audits are conducted according to the internal audit schedule. Facilitate audits from external Agencies. Follow-up action is done for non-conformances highlighted during audits (i.e. on-site, electronic or other self-audits) are handled within the time frame indicated in the Corrective Action Plan Report submitted to the Quality Assurance agency, representing the airline.
