About the role

OpenTable's Product Team is on a mission to help restaurants create memorable dining experiences while helping diners discover and book the perfect table. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy and development of our private dining discovery and demand product! This team focuses on helping diners and event planners discover great venues, connect with them and host amazing events. As a Senior Product Manager, you'll guide the long-term roadmap for this important and evolving area, collaborating with diverse teams across the company to deliver effective engagement solutions. (Hybrid position, in office 2 days per week) About You: You're a product leader who enjoys solving complex problems and navigating uncertainty. Responsibilities

  • Set Strategy and Vision
  • Define the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Private Dining discovery and demand product area.
  • Explore new opportunities for event planners and diners to find the perfect venue for their events, incorporating AI discovery and curation.
  • Partner with marketing and customer teams to ensure successful adoption of your products.
  • Work across teams (Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing) for alignment and execution.
  • Lead Execution and Delivery
  • Drive important, cross-team projects that lead to meaningful improvements for customers and business results.
  • Set clear goals and follow through, even when details are unclear or change often.
  • Balance scope and resources thoughtfully with your collaborators.
  • Take ownership when challenges arise, guiding teams and leaders toward success.
  • Inspire and Mentor
  • Lead your product area fully and adapt plans as needed while bringing others along.
  • Support the growth of product managers by sharing your experiences and feedback.
  • Help identify and bring new talent into the team.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with anyone, from engineers to executives.

Requirements

  • 10 years of proven experience leading product management efforts, preferably with background in user facing products, search or marketplaces.
  • Comfortable setting and evolving a product vision for a complex area.
  • Skilled in working with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
  • Curious about data and able to use it to guide decisions.
  • Passionate about mentoring and supporting others.
  • Familiarity with agile or iterative development methods.
  • Interest in the hospitality space is a plus but not required.

  • There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this United States located role is $170,000 - $195,000 USD
