We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Design Engineer to help develop our next generation of advanced Data Center Cooling Products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the HVAC industry, including the intricacies of system design, component selection, and performance optimization. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop innovative HVAC systems, focusing on sustainability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Select appropriate components, including fans, heat exchangers, and compressors, to meet design specifications and performance requirements.
  • Analyze refrigeration cycle performance to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability of HVAC systems.
  • Awareness of electrical diagrams and control systems.
  • Stay familiar with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure designs are cutting-edge and compliant.
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations.
  • Participate in product testing

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HVAC system design and engineering.
  • Profound understanding of the refrigeration cycle, component functionality, and system performance optimization.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and control systems.
  • Familiarity with various types of compressors, fans, heat exchangers, coils, and valves in HVAC systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with complex assemblies of many parts.
  • HVAC industry experience in a manufacturer.
  • General knowledge of CAD
  • Large commercial, chiller, or industrial refrigeration design experience
  • Product testing and troubleshooting
  • Experience with parts specification and parts list generation
