This role bridges customer requirements with engineering design, ensuring technically sound, commercially viable, and differentiated solutions. Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Technical Solutioning & Customer Engagement Act as the technical expert for motion solutions, engaging directly with customers to understand end-product requirements. Develop technical-commercial proposals for both standard and customized solutions. Translate Voice of Customer (VoC) into Voice of Design (VoD) specifications for customized solutions. 2. Application Engineering & Feasibility Analyze, map, and scope customer technical requirements based on application needs. Recommend optimized motion solutions, leveraging cross-functional expertise. Perform technical calculations, simulations, and validations to ensure feasibility and performance compliance. 3. Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate with sales, engineering, R&D, and manufacturing teams to create differentiated and value-driven solutions. Work with finance and operations teams to ensure cost effectiveness and financial viability of proposals. 4. Customer Program Management Manage customer projects through development and production qualification stages. Coordinate internal resources to ensure timely program execution. Track, maintain, and report project status using CRM tools. 5. Customer Relationship & Milestone Management Visit customers at key program milestones to validate requirements and ensure alignment. Identify opportunities to strengthen competitive positioning and customer partnerships. 6. Product Development & Stage Gate Support Support stage-gate processes for critical programs. Participate in Project Planning Group discussions and presentations. Contribute to business case development for custom product investments. 7. Market Insights & Product Strategy Collect and analyze customer feedback and market trends. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape product roadmap and innovation priorities. 8. Training & Knowledge Sharing Provide technical training to internal sales teams to enhance product knowledge and value propositions. Deliver training sessions for customers and distributors as required. Education and Experience Requirements Degree in mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline Relevant experience in motion control, precision motors, or electromechanical applications 3-5 years of experience in application engineering, customer-facing technical roles, or product development preferred.
