Minimum Requirements Must self-declare as Indigenous Status / Non-status. A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma (GED) or Canadian Adult Educational Credential (CAEC) or 10+ years of work experience. Have a valid full Class 5 Drivers License at time of application. Must currently reside within the RMWB. Process Candidates who apply may be selected to attend a 4-week training program at Keyano College. Above all else, we are looking for enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Tuition costs are covered, but candidates will not be paid while attending classroom training at Keyano Upon successful completion of training, candidates may commence a paid, up to 6-month coop at Syncrude Mildred Lake or Syncrude Aurora Mine. Placements will be determined by the business. Candidates with prior HEO experience will not be considered for this program. The shift schedule is a six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12-hour shifts). This is not a camp-based or fly in/fly out position. This is a temporary position for up to 6 months. For Ft Chipewyan, Conklin and Janvier, we would offer the Rotational Program (including accommodation & bus pass, if required) for the 6 months coop work term.
