Accountant Job Summary: The accountant serves as a key financial partner to Operations, and Finance leadership, providing financial oversight across assigned projects and business units. This role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, compliance and performance visibility while proactively driving profitability, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives. General Responsibilities: - Act as the primary financial point of contact for assigned business areas, delivering timely and insightful analysis on revenues, costs, WIP, margins, orders, taxes, depreciation, etc. - Own assigned monthly close activities, including account analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and internal controls. - Drive continuous monitoring of cost baselines versus actuals, performing detailed variance analysis and partnering with stakeholders to address deviations and optimize financial outcomes. - Support the development of annual operating budgets and rolling forecasts, contributing to financial planning and strategic decision-making. - Maintain documentation related to internal controls, audits, and compliance requirements. - Perform labor cost monitoring and productivity analysis, providing actionable insights on workforce utilization. - Partner closely with Operations leaders to enhance financial discipline and strengthen cost management practices. - Collaborate with the Business Controller and broader Finance organization on ad hoc analyses, reporting initiatives, and process improvement projects. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration. - Advance courses in Financial Management, Business Law and Computer Science are beneficial. - SAP experience is preferred.
