About the role

You will serve as a SECURITY GUARD in the FORCE PROTECTION DIVISION of NAF EL CENTRO SEC DET. In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume is the key means we have for evaluating your skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to this position. Therefore, we encourage you to be clear and specific when describing your experience. GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Physically examining identification for access to restricted areas; 2) Assisting with regulating pedestrian and vehicular traffic to maintain traffic flow and security operations; 3) Monitoring personnel access into restricted areas; and 4) Preforming private and commercial vehicle inspections. NOTE: All experience must be fully demonstrated in your resume to be considered for the position. GS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least six months of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Work with a Federal, State, municipal, local, or private protective organization that involved the protection of property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; 2) Maintaining order and protecting life; 3) Knowledge of protective systems and techniques. AND Your resume must demonstrate at least six months of general experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Administrative, technical, clerical, military, or other work that involved following written procedures, rules, or regulations in contacts with coworkers, supervisors, or members of the public to provide a service, respond to inquiries, or obtain information.
