About the role

About the Position: Serve as an advisor to Headquarters US European Command (EUCOM) senior leadership, managers, and supervisors in areas of position classification, position management, special program tracking, and foreign labor support for command positions. Work within the Civilian Personnel Programs and Policy Branch, ECJ1-HC, Manpower, Personnel, and Administration Directorate, independently performing a range of classification assignments and related human resources (HR) tasks. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) applying position classification standards to professional, administrative and interdisciplinary positions to determine appropriate pay plan, occupational series, title and grade level; 2) advising management on classification issues, desk audits, and staffing issues; AND 3) serving as the technical advisor to management on classification regulations and position management requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
