Responsibilities

  • Support development of Galaxy's positions on AI data centers and AI governance policy through research, drafting, and direct engagement with federal agencies, Congress, and relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry coalitions, and key stakeholders, including state legislators, governors' offices, public utility commissions, and economic development agencies, to advance Galaxy's interests on AI policy.
  • Monitor permitting processes, local utilities, and political and regulatory developments in target markets, and flag risks and opportunities for internal teams.
  • Represent Galaxy in policy forums, trade associations, and industry roundtables as directed by the Head of Policy.
  • Draft policy briefings, comment letters, testimony, and advocacy materials for government officials and senior internal leadership.
  • Advise internal stakeholders and external partners on emerging AI policy developments and their business implications.
