Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Financial Management & Reporting
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management.
• Accounting Operations
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and investigate variances.
• Support management in financial planning and decision-making.
• Compliance & Audit
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and government agencies.
• Prepare GST filings, corporate tax schedules, and other regulatory submissions.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and financial policies.
• Team Leadership
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Allocate work responsibilities and monitor performance.
• Provide training and guidance to improve team effectiveness.
• Process Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support ERP and accounting software implementation or upgrades.
