About the role

We are seeking an Accreditation and Educational Initiatives Officer to play a key role in supporting accreditation processes and advancing strategic educational initiatives across the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences. Reporting to the Educational Governance and Initiatives Manager, and working within the broader Educational Services Team, this role will: Oversee the administration of end-to-end accreditation and reaccreditation processes for the faculty's courses. Provide advice on accreditation processes and partner primarily with academic staff, other Faculty stakeholders, and central university offices, to prepare high-quality documentation and submissions, coordinate site visits, monitor and report on ongoing review requirements, ensuring alignment with University and external standards. Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic educational initiatives, through project planning, and undertaking benchmarking, research and development of recommendations to support decision-making. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating the administration of internal and external course accreditation and reaccreditation processes across the faculty. Liaising with internal portfolios and external accreditation bodies to progress accreditation matters. Preparing and supporting documentation for accreditation submissions and monitoring accreditation status and outcomes. Managing key educational initiatives, including developing project plans, tracking deliverables and milestones, and identifying process improvements. Undertaking benchmarking and research activities to inform accreditation and strategic educational priorities. Providing advice to academic and professional staff on accreditation processes, standards, and policy interpretation. The Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS) at Macquarie University is dedicated to advancing learning, teaching and research that improves health and wellbeing. The faculty works closely with clinical and industry partners to deliver innovative education and research outcomes. You will be part of the Educational Services team, which provides strategic and operational support across course design, accreditation, and educational quality initiatives within the faculty. Essential Selection Criteria Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or relevant experience. Experience in the preparation of complex documentation, including drafting comprehensive reports, papers, and submissions for internal and external audiences. Experience in preparing accreditation and other governance related documents is highly desirable. Strong project planning skills, including development, Implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project plans and cycles. Experience in interpreting and providing advice and information across a range of policies and procedures. Understanding of the accreditation process within Higher Education is highly desirable. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to deliver on competing deadlines. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a customer service focus, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Desirable Criteria Experience within a higher education or similar complex organisational environment. Familiarity with accreditation frameworks, university governance, and academic policy requirements. PRIMARY DETAIL - Salary package: From $102,136 per annum (HEW 6) plus 17% employer's superannuation contribution and annual leave loading - Full-time (35 hours per week), fixed-term appointment until September 17, 2027 - Based at the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde - Flexible work arrangements possible
