Responsibilities

  • As part of the Production Team you'll be responsible for...
  • The Material Handler moves material, supplies and finished goods to designated areas utilizing a sit-down forklift and loads product onto trailers according to all Berry Global ISO and other established program requirements.
  • Responsible for reviewing production orders and determine correct packing materials are available at the line.
  • Responsible for taking the materials to the operators.
  • Responsible for taking finished product from the production lines to the pallet wrapper and prepare product for shipment.
  • Responsible for moving skids and pallets to designated areas.
  • Responsible for transporting scrap filled gaylord to recycling area and complete paperwork.
  • Responsible for communicating with shipping and production supervisor daily as needed.
  • Responsible for operating fork truck safely and follow Berry's Safety Absolutes at all times.
  • Responsible for performing additional task as needed per leadership.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Must have at least 1 year previous Warehouse/Logistics loading/unloading trucks experience.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Must have at least 1 year of forklift experience.
  • Must be self-motivated without supervision
  • Experience in a team-work oriented environment a plus.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to do functional math; i.e. adding, subtracting, multiplying and division with a handheld calculator.
