The assistant director is responsible for assisting with the organization and implementation of on-campus opportunities for religious life as coordinated through the Campus Ministry department, as delegated by Student Affairs. These responsibilities include program coordination, supervision of student leadership, community engagement, and spiritual formation. Essential Functions This position requires regular, predictable, reliable attendance in the office environment. 1. Resource and support the implementation of regular on-campus worship opportunities, focusing largely, but not exclusively, on Revive. 2. Consult with the various constituencies served by the office (examples could include: students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners). 3. Publicize opportunities for religious life and spiritual formation. 4. Help update Campus Ministry Website, among other methods of outreach (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc). 5. Recruit faculty for the continued development of religious life opportunities. 6. Consult and advise individual students pursuing spiritual formation. Provide students with resources to learn and grown in their own spiritual lives. 7. Consult with student organizations and other student groups pursuing spiritual formation. Provide these groups with resources, where appropriate, to encourage further pursuit. 8. Coordinate with the Director of Christian Ministries in advising relevant student organizations. 9. Develop and cultivate relationships with Findlay-area churches. 10. Explore opportunities to engage with the international community. 11. Contribute to the collection and review of ministry data service data. 12. Perform all other duties deemed appropriate for this position. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a twelve-month full-time position. General hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Due to the nature of the job, this position will occasionally require working during evenings and on weekends and some travel. Students and student organizations: Support and coordination of activities for spiritual formation; mentorship of student leaders; facilitation of fellowship opportunities. Faculty / administrators: Exploring the integration of religious life into various colleges; cross-collaboration with faculty/staff in providing opportunities for religious engagement; increased visibility. External groups: including, but not limited, to: area churches (especially College First Church of God), denominational affiliates (Churches of God, General Conference), and local non-profit organizations: Project collaboration and event activities (e.g. Community Church Fair, Campus Day of Prayer, Revive A.M. Services, etc.); representative for UF at local religious institutions; public relations. Travel Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area travel may be expected. A valid US Drivers' license with a safe driving record is required. Required Education and Experience 1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. 2. Six months of work experience. 3. Leadership experience in church/parachurch ministry. 4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 5. Demonstrated program coordination and organizational skills. 6. Credentialed by the Great Lakes Conference or willing to obtain credentialing within first year.
