Position Summary The Bookkeeper will own the day-to-day transactional accounting functions that keep our operations moving. This role is primarily focused on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, with additional support in recordkeeping and general accounting tasks. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Accounts Payable Process vendor invoices accurately and on time. Manage payment runs and ensure proper documentation for all disbursements. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain organized AP records and support audit documentation as needed. Accounts Receivable Generate and send customer invoices on schedule. Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts. Post payments and reconcile AR records accurately. Assist with collections activities as needed. General Bookkeeping & Support Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across systems. Support bank reconciliations and routine account maintenance. Assist the accounting team with data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks. Help ensure accuracy between operating modules and financial systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- 1-3 years of bookkeeping, AP, or AR experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage high transaction volume and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with accounting or ERP software; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
