Job Description Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Project Engineer to join our Unison Sensors and Power team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the analysis, design, testing, and integration of high-speed permanent magnet alternators, temperature sensors, speed sensors and probes. This position requires a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Job Description Major duties Design, analyze, and/or test sensor components and assemblies for aviation applications, specifically within speed and temperature product lines. Support the integration of sensors into the final application and coordinate required technical interfaces with adjacent systems and stakeholders. Ensure proper documentation of technical information created for each project in accordance with engineering procedures and policies. Ensure timely communication with stakeholders on technical progress, risks, issues, and actions. Prepare and present technical reviews for assigned work packages and project milestones. Assess customer requirements and translate them into engineering tasks, deliverables, and verification needs. Maintain records and provide regular reports on project status to stakeholders, including schedule, cost, and overall progress. Support test plans and reports for development and qualification activities. Support investigation and resolution of field issues and sustaining engineering needs. Support the product line supply chain, including manufacturing, quality, and sourcing, through engineering assessments, technical clarifications, and drawing/document updates. Support MRB substantiation and structured problem solving for hardware, process, and product issues. Work across new product introduction and/or legacy product support, following the applicable engineering and development processes. Concurrently support multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality while helping ensure schedule requirements are met. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field. Prior experience or proven contributions in a similar engineering role or function. Effective and assertive written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish. Must be able to maintain technical conversations in English. Ability to manage own projects and tasks with some guidance. Presentation skills and ability to communicate across functions. Strong understanding of project management principles. Strong problem-solving skills with guidance. Familiarity with engineering tools and methods relevant to product design, analysis, test, and documentation. Familiarity with new product development and management processes. Capability to support both technical execution and project tracking/reporting. Desired Characteristics Familiarity with new product development processes for aviation products. Familiarity with Unison products and processes. Experience supporting electromechanical or sensing hardware through development, testing, qualification, industrialization, or sustaining. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional product team. Energetic person with a high sense of commitment. Prior relevant experience or demonstrated contribution in a similar role.
