Roles and Responsibilities Provide friendly, professional, and customer-focused service to customers, including Scout youths, leaders, parents, teachers, and organisational stakeholders. Promote and sell Scout uniforms, badges, and related merchandise while assisting customers with product enquiries and purchase decisions. Process sales transactions accurately, including cashless and cash payment methods. Support the coordination and fulfilment of orders for Scout units, schools, and events. Handle enquiries and order-related matters through email, WhatsApp, and other communication platforms. Follow up with schools and customers on order confirmations, collection arrangements, and deliveries. Receive, unpack, organise, and maintain inventory and incoming stock efficiently. Maintain proper stock levels, conduct stock checks/stock-taking exercises, and report shortages or discrepancies to supervisors. Ensure the Scout Shop remains clean, organised, well-stocked, and presentable at all times. Assist in packing and preparing orders and logistics for events, programmes, and activities. Support the improvement and implementation of shop operations through the adoption of innovative software and/or hardware. Develop, manage, and implement any projects/duties assigned by the supervisor or Executive Director. Desirable Attributes & Qualifications Minimum qualification level: Nitec, Certificate in Office Skills, NTC Grade 2, or equivalent. Field of study: Retailing & Wholesaling or related disciplines. Strong interest or passion for the retail industry and customer service. Enjoys interacting with youths, customers, and stakeholders in a positive and professional manner. Courteous, approachable, articulate, and able to communicate effectively. Team-oriented with a positive, responsible, and proactive work attitude. Able to work independently and manage operational responsibilities effectively. Willing to work office hours and based on operational requirements. Experience in retail operations, inventory management, or customer service will be an advantage.
